AJetterDesign Originals

Created in photoshop, these AJetterDesign originals provide immense amounts of color in combination of exhibiting iconic music artists and pushing the boundaries with ethereal artwork. Each piece created has a centralized theme, color palette, and pop culture (usually anime references) implemented. In addition, the goal for these pieces are to have them all be unique in their own way, but at the same time have them look like they are a part of the same universe. These decisions are decided based on the music artist chosen in order to match the feel of the piece with the artist and the music they make. These edits are made in a way to depict how I, as the artist, feel and see these music artists when I experience the music they create!

This piece is inspired by The Architect from the Matrix franchise while also drawing from the Kaminoans from Star Wars. I decided to combine both due to the look of the subject while also noting what both of their goals were in their worlds for a lack of better words.

This is a side by side image of my Doja Cat "Into the Stars" edit where I showed my sketch thought process along with the final outcome of the piece! I went for a ruler of the galaxy centralized theme that is also heavily influenced by the anime character from Naruto named Kakashi.

SZA the music artist is depicted. This piece is inspired by the anime character Natsu from the anime Fairy Tail. From that character, I decided to make it a dragon themed edit.

This piece was created for the National Museum of African American Music's BRELAND album debut exhibit. When listening to the track “County Line” off of the album, it gave me the feeling of "summer time, fun time." It is a carefree, “let’s have fun” track that put me back into the mindset of Summer 2016 also known as one of the last times I truly had “fun.” For this piece, I wanted the subject to look as worry-free as possible but still lively in a way. Because of the summer type of feel the track gives off, I wanted to contrast it by using cool colors throughout the piece. For me a fairy garden felt peaceful, yet still fun/intriguing if it were me as the subject.

This edit was inspired by Medusa and the Garden of Eden as the title suggests. I wanted her to be mystical with elvish features (elf ears and elvish writing for strength on her arm). In the background, I've created a garden frame and inserted the well-known painting "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Hieronymus Bosch in the back. The pink skin was used in order to provide a great contrast with the blues on the rest of her body.

Three 6 Mafia canvas print. This edit is heavily inspired by Team 7 in the anime Naruto. I wanted to make it where they seemed like they were the guardians of the particular galaxy they are in thus resulting in the subjects' colors matching the background.

The Dave East design mainly revolves around me experimenting with color combinations and such. Dave East is a heavy Nipsey Hussle fan so I also added the checkered flag and blue bandana under his skin and eyes to exhibit that he too has Nipsey's ideals and influence in him as well. To further emphasize this, I also put bandana patterns on to his skin.
